Hard facts - Wear Protection in cement plants

Cement manufacture is one of the most severe tests for material wear protection. Triten has an extensive track record of working with cement plant engineers and specialist contractors to both extend plant life and improve material flow and process efficiency through the wider use of wear-resistant alloys throughout the plant.

Impellers - Triten has developed innovative solutions to wear on all types of impellers operating at speeds of over 1800 RPM. These include special overlay alloys and creep resistant substrates plus design modifications to reduce repair and refurbishment costs.

Impeller casings, can also be successfully protect along with associated sections such as square-to-round transitions and damper assemblies, using either replaceable liners of wear-resistant overlay plate or fully fabricated sections.

Pipework: Despite its outstanding resistance to wear, Triten overlay plate can be formed into tight curves. A ½ inch (12mm) plate can be cold pressed and rolled down to 12 inches (300mm) diameter. Small diameters down to 4 inches (102mm) can be protected by direct hardfacing of Triten overlay alloys using a specially developed machine assembly.
