Triten APG's European operation has announced a major expansion of its successful overlay roll manufacturing, repair and refurbishment services with the acquisition of a range of specialist plant from Marske Machinery Limited, a major specialist in this sector, who is ending its involvement in this type of work.
Enhanced Capability
The additional plant, includes a large capacity 'top hat' heat treatment furnace operating up to 1800°C and two specialist heavy duty weld overlay systems capable of handling rolls up to 15 tonnes. These systems will be upgraded by Triten to accommodate its patented bulk welding technology enabling a wide range of wear and corrosion resistant alloys to be deposited onto both new and refurbished rolls, conveyor drums and similar cylindrical components.
Expanding Services into Wider Markets
The addition of the extra plant will greatly expand the scope of work which can be handled by Trimay Engineering Services, Triten's dedicated roll manufacturing and repair Division based at its European manufacturing centre in Carlton, Barnsley, UK.
The additional plant, combined with the increased machining and overlay services offered by Triten's Carlton complex, will also provided added impetus to the Company's expansion programme both within the UK market and increasingly in the nearby continental European markets of Holland, France and Belgium.
Plans are already in-hand to recruit additional experienced sales personnel, based in central Europe, to spearhead this expansion programme.
